Sound Design is the art of applying sound effects, voice over, and music to video.  Often an overlooked process, sound design is a critical aspect of visual media.  Check out some examples of sound design below.





The above clip is from The Cell with Jennifer Lopez. I stripped all the audio and replaced it with what you hear.  I picked this scene because it was a type of dream sequence – allowing some freedom.





The above clip is a movie trailer for Die Hard 4.  I wanted to pick a clip that would let me use some the intense actions sound effects that I had in my library…. BOOM!





The above clip is a scene from The Village Directed by M. Night Shyamalan. This project required a good bit of foley recording in the woods (my backyard). This was a completely silent movie when I got it - I still haven't seen the original.
